Create a perfect background for Twitter

Posted by admin on 03/04/2010

After the channel icon, let us now examine how to set a background "professional" for Twitter. To customize the page as well as background colors, text, links and sidebar can choose a 'background image. For example, see page Graphic.it:

Rules to follow as I would say that there are those in respect of certain measures that are more like to be that most of users may see our display in the background but not with a bell'iMac 30 "or a new iPad shot in landscape mode.

Open a document processing program with images of 2048 × 1707 pixels, this will be our area that we can fill it with a photograph (always remembering that Twitter accepts backgrounds with a weight up to 800KB), a gradient, a spot color, etc. ...

Leave 20 pixels from the left and 14 from above (do to ensure that our logo or symbol is aligned with that of Twitter) and we imagine having a perfect vertical rectangle of 80 × 587 pixels

that the area will be preferable to communicate exactly the company logo, address, (possibly vertically) or a photographic image that must not be covered by boxes with different feeds (see examples).

Then obviously in the 'design' your Twitter account you can send the wallpaper and choose colors in harmony with those you used. After some experimenting and turning on a few pages more famous (besides our :-) like Starbucks and avatar , you will understand better how to use these tips sull'impaginazione ... good job!

Speaking of packaging I could not talk about BVD , an agency in Stockholm of the most important in Europe, winning several times by the ED-Awards . Their projects speak for themselves, with a typically north-European style, particularly popular with designers around the world.

Image of Twitter profile? Clear!

Posted by admin on 19/03/2010

Did you know that Twitter being one of the most innovative web 2.0 platform fully supports the PNG image format, complete with transparency. Likewise the most popular Twitter client (iPhone but also use "household"), this means that you can save your avatar without background, with the result that the image will be more "professional" and certainly stand out among others ...

In the example above we see the famous icon of the blog engadget (the "e" with the waves), making use of transparency, differing significantly from other images in profile.

How? With Photoshop simply remove the background layer and save as PNG menu "Save as ...".

Continuing with some famous examples of packaging, we can not talk about PARLFISHER NY. Creators of some of the most creative forms of art applied to product design and packaging ... THIS WATER among them, innocent and naked.

London Fashion Week 2010 says POP

Posted by ioDesign on 11/02/2010

London Fashion Week 2010 POP says. With the emergence of a critical sensibility on this era of growing consumerism could not back up the artistic expression symbol of urban folklore, but now with a different cosapevolezza ... Back then collages, photos, lighting, graphics of Comics. Some references to the futuristic world of space 80. Even fashion leaves the 'pedestal' glamor ultraricercato for a moment and talk to people in a more 'direct' (perhaps a sign of economic times?). Talk to people more and more influential and more aware of their power.
